MEMBER OF THE EDUCATORS FORUM
Daniel Zaragoza is the President of the Executive Board of ENIDAM: The Association of National Interior and Design Schools of Mexico comprising over 25 universities throughout Mexico. He is also the National Vice President of Universities for the Mexican Society of Interior Designers (SMI).
He graduated as an architect from the Universidad Cristóbal Colón in Veracruz, México and developed an extensive academic experience in teaching and training notably at Centro de Estudios Gestalt para el Diseño, a Mexican institution of higher education specialized in design. He shared with Gestalt the common objective of teaching and developing intellectual, technical and artistic activities with an ethical and social sense permanently overcoming any individual interest.
For over twenty-six years, Daniel Zaragoza has been teaching subjects such as Fundamentals of Design, Model Workshop, History of Art, Furniture Styles, Current Trends in Interior Design, Visual Marketing and Store Design, Housing Projects, in Commercial Spaces and Spaces of Social and Recreational Coexistence among others.
As an educator, professor Zaragoza showed incessant enthusiasm for teaching and transmitting his passion for interior design to his young students.
He was appointed Chair of the Interior Architecture program at Centro de Estudios Gestalt between 2004 and 2010 at the Veracruz Campus.
He served as Chief Academic Officer of Centro de Estudios Gestalt-Cancún since its inauguration in 2011 until 2014.
He moved back to Veracruz in 2014 where he held the position of Chief Academic Officer of Centro de Estudios Gestalt- Veracruz until January 2018.
His restless spirit has led him to venture into other areas away from education under the capacities of Training Manager and Human Resources Manager in the tourism sectors in Cancun, Mexico and the Cayman Islands.
Under his presidency for ENIDAM, Daniel Zaragoza worked extensively on developing International affiliations with worldwide recognized associations and academic institutions. He played an instrumental role in the process leading towards the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Association of National Interior and Design Schools of Mexico- ENIDAM and the Council for International Accreditation of Architecture & Design- CIAAD.
